On the evening of Friday, June 27, 2025, the church of St. Josef an der Höhe in Bonn-Endenich took part in the 10th Bonn Church Night – and invited guests to an impressively designed evening under the motto “Night of Dreams.” Even before entering the church, guests were warmly welcomed by a friendly team – students and teachers from the Collegium Josephinum Bonn (CoJoBo), along with members of the KSJ and the parish, had prepared an experience that was both heartfelt and atmospheric.

Inside the church, special lighting technology had been installed to transform the high church ceiling into a sparkling starry sky through carefully directed spotlights. This unique lighting created a dreamlike atmosphere – perfectly in tune with the night’s theme. But it wasn’t just about visual impressions: visitors were treated to a varied program featuring musical performances, short talks on the organ and church architecture, prayers, a guided dream journey, and many moments of silence, reflection, and connection.

That evening, St. Josef became a place where faith, creativity, and community came together in a special way. A heartfelt thanks goes to all those from CoJoBo and the parish who helped make this evening possible – Church Night 2025 in Bonn was a truly successful contribution to the large ecumenical celebration in the Bonn region. The Bonn Church Night was held for the tenth time in 2025. The initiative aims to show how open, vibrant, and diverse the church can be today – not just for believers, but for anyone curious about special spaces, sounds, and thoughts.
